I am a mechanical engineer specializing in 3D modeling and prototyping, and currently teach a collegiate course on computer aided design processes and methodologies. My experience with 3D modeling software stretches beyond theory across 5 different professional packages (Autodesk Inventor, Creo Parametric, Solidworks, Onshape, Catia), utilizing them for personal and industrial projects I’ve completed. I have professionally produced parts using various additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies including stereolithography (SLA), polyjet, selective laser sintering (SLS), fused deposition modeling (FDM), and digital light processing (DLP). In addition to my own products, I would like to provide the ability for anyone’s 3D aspirations to become real.
Design Consultation, 3D Design, and Modeling
With my experience I am able to provide feedback on your current designs and models.This feedback includes design direction and optimization for both mass manufacture and rapid prototyping. In addition to providing feedback, I can ascertain your design intent and design your product and create a functional 3D model.
These services vary in cost (increasing cost with complexity) starting at $40/hour for both design consultation and 3D modeling. Discounts are available to students.
Prices for 3D printing will vary based on the model provided, with a 25% discount for college students; I will be more than happy to provide a free estimate for anyone. Print size is limited to a volume of 7.5″ x 7.5″ x 7.5″ (190.5 x 190.5 x 190.5mm). 3D printed parts are guaranteed to ship in 1 week or less. Rush jobs are possible.
